“Nothing is finer than a solid past to indicate the potential of an exciting future. There is no other like you, you own the copyrights.”

The card inside of the box that contained my necktie included a reflective observation, made by a close friend whose life was about to change forever. On the eve of his wedding, someone I have known almost all of my life, had captured the true nature of my existence (and in essence our lifelong friendship), with two simple and well crafted sentences.

As groomsmen, we each received a custom necktie as our traditional wedding party gift. All of us stitched with a unique telling of how we have impacted the life of a friend who has truly invested in every man taking a stand alongside he and his bride.

Near the top, each tie is embossed with a single, solid, robin’s egg blue stripe — binding us all together. A hand-sewn tie, designed by the groom for his men — brothers by blood or through the blood-in, blood-out bonding of friends, lives shared over the decades.

Wow. That is a serious gift. Both in the physical and metaphysical. Raise an extra glass for your friend for me – he’s got CLASS. (That’s what rappers *should* be talking about when they call out baller)
Damn. Great story, and great idea. So very cool.
The photos fit the story so well … you’ve got quite a way of taking a tiny story and making it matter …!
Very cool groomsmen gift. Very.
