in Podcast

Earlier this week, I was reminiscing with Ma Dukes, via email. Back and forth we went, sharing about a time in both of our lives, where, in a moment everything changed. It’s been a hot minute since my last story, so, check this out…

The stress that brave confident children put their parents through! I appreciate this story, especially hearing you and Ma Dukes work through it; you are lucky to have her.

I liked #23 as well about the bike racing at Seward Park. Clarence you were a biking fiend, thats cool!

Thanks!

Another great story and having your mom on this made it awesome. She has some great one liners in there and you can just hear the closeness between you two.

I remember that exact jetty over at Carco Park. The river really did rush by on the outside while the inside was a calm, quiet wading pool. And, I remember the whirlpool that was created where the two waters met. Ah… memories. We used to jump off the retaining wall just upstream, and then swim to that jetty, just above the rapids and climb out. We were, of course, OLDER than 7 years old.

I really enjoyed the rapport between you and your mom and your rhythm of conversation and repartee. You tell some great stories together and you also tell something deeper about your bond.
