Clarence.... solid thoughts (as always)! I think we both know where I fall in the ongoing war against procrastination! The side of the loser. But I'm working on it, positive change is going to come I am sure.

again...you hit the nail on the head dude. This truly helps me in reference to doing what I need to do and to accomplish the things I love to do. I find out the more I do stuff the better I become and I suffer from that as well that I feel I have to get it right the first time in order to get it accomplished and that simply is not true.

Thanx for this posting bro. btw: check out this post---> http://luvsels.vox.com/library/post/lesson-learned.html

clarence,

i feel you the procrastination. it's a disease that can cause me to push to complete projects at the last minute. however i think i'm just a junky for that last minute rush. you know that, can you believe i just did that?

for me, i think that's the real draw of procrastination. simply finding a new way to push myself. guess i need some hobbies, uh?

well, i'm looking forward to your next show!

As the tragically uncrowned queen of procrastination, I can relate to everything you wrote in regards to procrastination. Thank you for sharing.

BTW, ended up on your blog via twitter. Very insightful, will bookmark it.

Clarence, it so appropriate to do a piece on procrastination on April 15th. Your words shine with wisdom. The perfectionist/pride paradigm is a bugaboo that has plagued me all my life as well. This is lesson I need to relearn over and over, thanks for putting it back on my radar today.

You do an excellent podcast!

Christy, 'preciate you stoppin' through -- I will have to get down with the book you mentioned and see what I can pull from there as well. It sounds like you, however, have jumped a hurdle and can definitely run the rest of the race faster now! TRUTH? I definitely need to get to that next stage of, "When is enough, enough?" instead of, "What keeps me from doing enough?"

Nice one Clarence. I've been dealing with this issue of perfectionism lately too...only my procrastination emerges in the form of rampant rewrites (and therefore never finishing) instead of not doing something in the first place. I just read a great book, How To Do What You Want To Do, that advises over and over again that "it is more important to do than to do well". So, despite the voices inside my head saying that what I'm doing isn't perfect, I'm powering on and doing something...which actually isn't that half-bad at all. Thought I'd share that with you. Thanks for the podcast. Nice. Best, Christy
