Good to have you back and if it is one day or one year between podcasts I’ll still be here listening. Always great to hear you speak your mind. Keep it going.

Ah, the mellifluous tones of DYKC. Good to hear you and good message, too. Hope to see you around town again soon. Thank CC for the link love on Twitter that got me here.

I appreciate the encouragement, the permission, to get out there and speak. Just being quiet is equivalent to paralysis. Inaction. Listening should lead to action and action should lead back to listening. It’s a… what do you call it…. circle?
Some thoughts on this idea:
Quiet. The opposite of quiet is noise. Quiet and noise can be soothing and/or grating. (Sound was how the Muad’Dib destroyed the forces of the House Harkkonen in “Dune.”) There is a time for both. Like inhaling and exhaling. I don’t know if I agree that just because you have something to say means it needs saying. If a tree falls in the forest, etc., etc….

Some people have a lot to say, and say it loudly, but no one will, nor should, listen. Others have a rapt audience and yet they remain quiet. I think more importantly than the act of speaking is the act of listening and then choosing how to respond.

There, I made some noise, and now I will be quiet and listen…. ahem…..*cough, cough*…. waiting!….. zzzzz……….
